This website is the personal portfolio of Dave Carr. This policy explains what personal data is collected when you visit or contact me through this site, and how it's used.

What I collect

  • Contact form: if you get in touch via the contact page, I collect your name, email address, and whatever message you send

  • Analytics: this site uses standard analytics (provided by Squarespace) that collect general visitor information — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. This data is aggregated and isn't used to identify you personally

Why I collect it

  • Contact form details are used solely to respond to your enquiry.

  • Analytics data helps me understand how the site is used, so I can improve it.

Who it's shared with
Your data is processed via Squarespace, the platform this site is built on. Squarespace may store data on servers outside the UK/EU, under standard legal safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses). I don't sell, rent, or share your data with any other third party.

How long I keep it
Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to your enquiry, and are deleted after that unless you ask me to keep them (for example, if we're in an ongoing conversation).

Your rights
You can ask me at any time what personal data I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Just email dave@davecarrcreative.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you have concerns about how your data is handled.

Cookies
This site uses standard functional and analytics cookies via Squarespace. You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time.
