The Brief
Publicis Sapient's Global Financial Services team needed to demonstrate its digital transformation expertise to legacy banks and fintech firms.
The Problem
The competition was tough, including larger, well established firms like McKinsey, Accenture, EY and BCG. Publicis Sapient had the talent and experience to match them, but needed something stronger than pitch decks and case studies to stand out from the pack.

The Solution
The answer was to show rather than tell.
The team had already built a digital bank in Dubai from scratch in six months. A fantastic proof point that was being underutilised, I used it as the inspiration for something more ambitious: a working digital bank concept that financial organisations could project their own requirements onto. Something that would properly showcase Publicis Sapient's end-to-end digital transformation capabilities.
This became XBank, created from the ground up with brand identity, website, explainer and promotional videos, podcasts and video interviews with industry leaders.
Instead of a standard showreel or creds deck, XBank was a living, breathing demonstration of what Publicis Sapient could do for a client's own organisation.

Global Banking Benchmark Study
To further establish thought leadership, we co-commissioned the Global Banking Benchmark Study with Longitude Research at the Financial Times, drawing on trends and insights from senior leaders and institutions across the industry.
The Outcome
XBank became central to new business pitches as intended, generating significant leads particularly across the MENA region. Both XBank and the Global Banking Benchmark Study remain in active use by Publicis Sapient today, years after launch.
